The location is excellent for regional and local distribution, and it is convenient for using commercial carrier capacity. The location will serve as a forward staging station for our Greenville, South Carolina-based own controlled flight operations, from which we fly two B76F flights per week to Shenyang, China, with a connection to Seoul, Korea, and five B74F return Maersk flights per week to Hahn, Germany.

The new facility is a Bonded Container Freight Station (CFS) with US Customs and features 39 dock doors as well as two huge drive-up ramps. In order to assure prompt, secure handling of aviation freight, it also functions as a U.S. Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a result, airline ULDs for both import and export can be handled with priority.

In order to increase supply chain integration prospects for clients using Chicago O’Hare International and Rockford International, the company has launched a new air freight gateway facility in Chicago. Prior to that, Amerijet International, a cargo airline with its headquarters in Miami, began flying regularly between South Carolina, Korea, and China as part of Maersk’s new air freight service.
