Cargo processed at South Korean seaports gained ground last month from a year earlier on brisk outbound shipments. Navios Maritime Partners will purchase the entire Rickmers Maritime fleet of 28 ships for USD 113 million. An official has said, a satellite port will come up at Vijaydurg in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. The facility will be built under the Centre’s Integrated Port Development Scheme, Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) Chairman I Jeyakumar told reporters here on Saturday. He said that the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust and the Maharashtra Maritime Board are also working together on a plan to develop the new port.
