DP World reports 10.7% gross volume growth in Q2 2017

Asia-Europe rate falls 2.1% to USD 919 TEU, declines 3.1% to USWC
Spot rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday fell 2.1% to USD 919 per Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU), according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI). Asia-Mediterranean trade slipped 1.4% to USD 852 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast declined 3.1% week-over-week to USD 1,226 per FEU while those to the east coast off 0.8% to USD 2,233 per FEU.

Container volumes at Singapore Port increase 8.5% in June
Container volumes at the port of Singapore have risen in June compared to the year-ago level, according to preliminary estimates from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
