Hapag-Lloyd ups rates USD 200 TEU from South America to 21 April 2017

Hapag-Lloyd has announced it will increase rates for all cargo from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay to Canada, the US Mexico, Central America and Caribbean ports.

The increase, USD 200 per Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU) and USD 300 per FEU will take effect May 15 and apply equally to dry and reefer cargo.

India steel import falls 36% to 7.4 mt in 2016-17 21 April 2017

According to official data, India’s import of total finished steel fell 36% to 7.4 million tonnes (MT) and exports jumped 102% to 8.2 MT in 2016-17.

Adani Logistics Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) and part of Adani Group, on Thursday said it has commissioned and commenced commercial operations at its multimodal logistics park at Kila Raipur, Ludhiana in Punjab.
