Asia-Europe rate inches up 0.5% to USD 923 TEU, off 7% to USWC

According to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), Spot rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday inched up 0.5% to USD923 per Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU).

Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 1.1% to USD 822 per TEU.

Asia to the US west coast fell 7% week over week to USD 1,541 per FEU while those to the east coast were down 7% to USD 2,419 per FEU.
