PPT launches massive plantation drive inside Harbour Area

Paradip Port Trust (PPT) has kick-started a massive plantation drive inside the Harbour Area on August 22, 2017.

N. Vaiyapuri, Deputy Chairman, inaugurated the environment-focused programme at TT-3 area of Mechanised Coal Handling Plant (MCHP). Saplings of medicinal/herbal and fruit trees were planted by the Heads of the Departments of PPT and by P. C. Mohanty, ACF, Kujang Division, government of Odisha, along with the officers and staff of the MCHP.

PPT has plans to undertake more such plantations in and around the Port throughout the year, said a release.
