Asia-Europe rate falls 5.9% to USD 880 TEU, off 10.3% to USWC

According to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday declined 5.9% to USD 880 per Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU) from USD 933 per TEU.

Asia-Mediterranean trade slipped 3% to USD 877 per TEU.

Asia to the US west coast dropped 10.3% week-over-week to USD 1,146 per FEU while those to the east coast off 6.8% to USD 2,081 per FEU.
