AirAsia to start double daily service on Kolkata-Ranchi-Delhi route

AirAsia India, on Monday, launched a Kolkata-Ranchi-Delhi double daily flight.

The double daily service will take the Kolkata-Ranchi-Delhi route and return along the same route on the same day.

Director, Customer Experience and Ground Operations, AirAsia India, the company said in a release, the first departure from Kolkata was flagged off by Deepak Mahendra, Chief Financial Officer, AirAsia India, and Kesavan Sivanandam.

In Ranchi, Raghubar Das, Chief Minister, Jharkhand flagged off the first flight to New Delhi in the presence of Amar Abrol, MD & CEO, AirAsia India and Kiran Jain, Commercial Director, AirAsia India, it further added.

AirAsia (India) Limited is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited and AirAsia, with AirAsia Investment and Tata Sons holding 49% each; S Ramadorai (Chairman) and R Venkataramanan, two directors of the company in their individual capacity hold 0.5% and 1.5% shareholding respectively.
