New salt loading record set at Kandla Port

A new salt loading record in bulk was set recently at Kandla Port by Maheshwari Handling Agency Private Limited by loading 49,250 tonnes.

Loading onto the vessel, m.v. Vinalines Brave, berthed at CJ-9, commenced on November 14 at 1800 hours and was completed at 1530 hrs the following day. Ex-350 machines and Kandla Port Trust (KPT) shore harbour mobile cranes were used for the process.

The KPT Chairman, Dr. P. D. Vaghela, Deputy Chairman, Mr. M. A. Bhaskarachar, Traffic Manager, Mr. Venkatesh and Deputy Traffic Manager, Mr. Balani felicitated the handling agent Maheshwari Handling Agency Private Limited, ship agent B. S. Shipping, shippers Dadi Impex Private Limited, (Mumbai) and CHA Krishna Clearing Agency on achieving the record.
